If you are having a problem with the forums, try clicking on the "FAQ" link at the top of the page first. If that doesn't work, stop in here for help. Suggestions for site improvement are welcomed. For the love of Lennin, if you have a tech question about your rig, put it in "The Order of the Greasy Wrench" section below, not here.

When you register for the Soviet Steeds forums, it is
very important that you enter a
valid e-mail address.
You will be sent an activation e-mail with a link in it to complete your registration. If you don't provide a valid e-mail address in the registration screen, the activation e-mail won't make it to ya.
Also check to see if the activation link e-mail might have ended up in your Junk Mail (if you use Outlook) or spam filter.
If you still have problems, post here (guest can post only iin this forum) or send me an e-mail and I can activate your account manually.
But you need to let me know what username you registered under.
Edit 1/17/08: We have added a textual confirmation modification to the registration form that requires you to follow the directions and answer a question or type a word in the box. This is to defeat "spam-bots" that try to spam the site. Make sure you answer the question or type the word in the box properly.
Thanks...

Try clearing out the cache and then reloading. If that doesn't work check to see that Firefox is up to date. Occasionally FF will update but get hung up and you end up with a partially corrupt file that causes issues.

Well that didn't work either...Thanks for the suggestions tho.
Very strange that I can log onto other phpBB Boards with firefix.
When I hit the "login" button I go to "user control panel" but the screen never changes... just sits at the login screen.
Very odd. I'm gonna change puters and check the problem
RP
Edit; I got on no problem using the Wif's Puter!!! Problem certainly on my end... I'll find it.

Hi John, I like the "send an email" idea but can you post up said email addy? I've been on here a couple, few years(?) as "rivers". Changed my email addy a few days ago cause my original ISP went TU and acct is still "inactive" Tried (a few times) the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the log-in page. Nada, zip, nuthin so finally gave up and started over with a completely new registration process with "boats.
Thanks.
Joe.

John your techie voodoo got "rivers" back up and running.

I'll let you decide what you want to do with the 'boats' account. Delete it or let it die from atrophy. Either way works for me.
Thanks for your help.

Not sure why but when a person changes their e-mail address, I have to go in and press a button to re-approve them. I think it's some kind of anti-spammer feature. Sorry for the delay in getting it fixed.

They stay in the outbox until the recipient logs in and reads the message. Once read by the recipient, it goes to sent items.
