Can't post pictures. I'm getting a warning that it is over the allowable size of 1Meg. Thought it was 2 Meg and up to 10 pictures per post?

Well, I guess I need to try this since my Photobucket account runneth over.
Based on the preview, Homer worked.
Now to try a pic from my camera... Nope, file is too big.
Went into my phone's camera set-up. I was able to select the smallest resolution and this allowed me to post a pic as an attachment.
Never thought that the phone would have resolution settings but then realized phone have everything today.

Found a trick to do this. They said to add ?.jpg to the end of the link and it will fix it. Let's see if this works.

Nope, that trick does not work, either.

So, this brings up a new question for Big John. Are we limited to the size of our total attachments. Other sites limit each member to so many MB or maybe GB of attachment files. Is there a limit here. I ask because what normally happens is members delete the oldest attachments to make room for new and a useful thread suddenly loses its pictures.

No need to delete attachments. That's why we pass the hat to pay for web space.

If you are running Windows 7, 8 or 10, there is a small module that you can install and it gives the option of resizing images, either one-by-one or in batches. This thing is fast and can shrink images quite nicely. It can resize existing images, or, make duplicates of the images that are then resized.
I've been using it for a year or so and it works fine. It's a lot quicker than using 'Paint' for resizing multiple photos.
The best part is that it adds a menu item so when you right click a photo or group of photos, it is included in that menu. You don't even have to open some other program or even remember what program to open! For posting to forums, I usually resize images to 'Small' and they go from 2 meg or larger right on down to less than a couple hundred K...and still look fine on a webpage. After shrinking the images, they upload VERY quickly...maybe not a concern to some members but possibly with data caps, cellular, satellite, or shared bandwidth, it might be a concern for some people.
These links go to the descriptions, not to the program itself...for you guys that are cautious...( I dont blame ya )

Off My computer through Soviet Steeds, my browser I guess. It works fine on some other sights, I use fire fox as a browser. I used my photo bucket account and that worked okay, but photo bucket can be aggravating. Thanks for the response.JohnBG wrote:Thru your browser or Tapatalk?NxtGoRnd wrote:Trying to upload pic 1.4 mb it says 1.mb is limit. Thanks Tony

Never been able to upload larger than 1mb. Always says too large. Sucks since standard iPhone photo size is usually 1.somethingMB photo hosting then uploading then sign on then copy link etc....ugh. Guess I'll just email them to myself and reduce the size then resave and load as needed. 2mb would be killer.
