SPAM ATTACK 9-20-17

Post by Niteblues » Wed Sep 20, 2017 10:22 pm

The spammer changed the topic title to a link as well as the links within the message. The spammer posted 42 times when I happened into the site to see what Chad was fiddlin' with or Van is re-engineering.

That's a lot of posts in a short amount of time.

When you see one of those spams, tag the post with the exclamation point button (up near the quote button). That makes it easy for a moderator to find the post. Please and thank you.

JohnBG ya might wanna look close at that spam attack; maybe you and Marty can figure whodunnit and how we can claim damages and get FEMA help and counseling and such...

That is all.

Ah, I never knew about the exclamation point. I mean, I know how to use 'em in day-to-day communication, but I never noticed 'em on the site. I'll use that in the future, like Marty McFly.

And all I was fiddlin' with was dry ice. Ineffectively.
(Though it was a lot MORE fun playing with the extra dry ice when I got home)

Man, there was more this morning! I saw a couple of "notifications" that some posts were flagged, but another moderator got to them before I did. Looking closer at some of the posts from last night, I found another spammer in our midst. Sheesh.
