A loose original alternator on an '03 is asking for catastrophic failure. The bearings were known to fail and lock up the gear tower taking the whole motor with it.

Speaking of alternators, has yours been upgraded to a Denso.

ReCycled, I will have to look at the alternator because I don't know if it has been changed (though I doubt it has.) Thanks for the heads up!
