Awesome. Glad it’s working although I didn’t doubt it for a second.

Curious as to what you are using to lube the points block. I use Standard Lubricam SL-2.

I have the same SL-2 product. Been using it on the '77 Moto Guzzi with its twin point setup. That bike still has its original Magneti Marelli points after 112K miles although they have been dressed a few times and the rubbing blocks are getting short.

The NAPA Echlin points did come with a pouch of specialty grease. Don't know if it's any better?

On the '66 BMW /2 I used to squirt ACF-50 all over the ignition. I put 50K miles on those points and they were used when I got the bike.

Ron,

I’ve got ACF-50 but have never thought to use it on an ignition system. 👍

Sort of like Frank's Hot Sauce. I spray that s#it on everything!
What surprised me (pleasantly) was that ACF-50 didn't bother electrical conductivity. I'd spray the whole assembly, point contacts and all. The bike was 99.9% "first kick" starter. Never a spot of rust. Mechanical advance was "happy" to be thoroughly lubricated.

Here's another thank you for taking the time to provide the sketch and parts info.
Son's 2002 750 having ignition problems and this should come in handy.
Maybe missed it but didn't see what coil you are using.

This coil is the same physical dimensions and layout as the PowerArc 3 ohm coil.
This allowed me to use the old PA bracket to mount the new 5 ohm coil.
