I like the description in his ad. Anyone who owns one of these from 2020 models and on down better have a good sense of humor.

It looks to have the old style 12 amp alternator. They could be a weak link once the wire in the rotor cracked and failed. The russians never epoxy sealed the windings. I would replace the cabs with russian ones and put a Denso in it. Good times!
This is my step ladder. I never got to know my real ladder.

I went and had a look at it today after helping a friend put brake pads on his BMW in a nearby town. I went to look mainly out of curiosity, but I would like to have an all-drum model at some point. It is a bit crusty, surface rust on top of the tank, rust around the trunk straps and other typical Ural areas. The battery has been relocated to the trunk, and the electronic ignition replaced with points/condenser. It's dingy and dirty but would probably clean up to an acceptable appearance. The seller said it is actually a 97 per the title, not a 98. Odometer showed just over 7000 KM. It started up easily and did not make any alarming sounds, but I did not take it for a test ride. He has owned it for 10 years. if I had room for it I would be interested, but it's not in the cards right now.

Just messaged the seller. Said it's sold and pending pickup.

Haahahaaa I am the winner of this krusty Krab!!! LoL

I picked her up last weekend. I have wanted a Ural Sidecar for a long time and couldn't really pass it up for the price. She does run and has made a few trips in the neighborhood with all the kids getting rides. I already have a ton of parts ordered and spent a few hours cleaning her up and still have more to go.
Thanks guys!

Congratulations, Doc! When you get a chance, please feel free to update your signature line with the year and model (Tourist) of your bike, along with your location, if you'd like. This will give readers of your posts context about your own Ural situation.

Thanks, I don't exactly have the space for it either. I am currently restoring '46 Willy's CJ2A Jeep. You are very correct, the P.O. was full of persoonality. He had a great up turned mustache. I can only imagine him showing up to a bike night on the steed and being the life of the party....lol
I have already been busting my butt cleaning and detailing the rig, plus a good handful of parts ordered. planning on upgrading the ignition system and exhaust. Get her more reliable. So far we love her(Natasha).
