2010 for 17k - Or you could buy a 2019...

Post by CamaroEric » Wed Jan 16, 2019 3:20 pm

Just saw this one... Not mine.

Is it real? Listing seems a little vague but I think it'd be a lot easier to pull a scam with a Honda Accord ad...

Weed or drinking too much vodka. $17,000.00 that's absurd. If I was going to sell o one of my 2008 Patrols, black or the white one both of which only have about 4,000 km each, I would only ask $8,000.00. 2008 or 2010 are pretty much the same bikes with the important upgrades.

And the side car cover. Very exclusive/desirable option.

Side car covers were standard on Patrols in 2008. Don't know about 2010?

I couldn’t think of any previous owner giving monetary provenance for this asking price even if it was owned by Putin or Stalin. Well, maybe Stalin?

However have you ever seen what anything owned by Elvis, Paul Newman (watch or any car), Steve McQueen goes for?

So I actually sent this guy a message and chatted with him a bit. He's 100% serious with that price. He said a new one is $19k and that's before the accessories. He also claimed they haven't really changed. Didn't really seem receptive to hearing that his price is ludicrously high, so he'll probably be stuck with it for quite some time.

I know that area of Denver well... it’s quite possible I poured the foundation or driveway at his home... overpriced (IMHO) $500-650k homes there...

I guess if he paid $600,000 for a $390k home... he’ll find a $17,000 buyer for his $8,000 hack...

Best of luck...

Obviously an idiot, or listing it because his wife made him do it, that's above MSRP for a 2019 G-up that comes with those accessories.

If he's counting the additional expenses to come up with $19k, he's choosing to ignore the fact most of them will apply to his rig too, and that the warranty is up.

I'm always puzzled by the name calling when someone wants to sell something.

If you're interested and can afford it, buy it.

If you're not interested, or can't afford it, pass.

The entitlement mentality, where if someone offers an item for sale, they're required to offer it at a very low price, is childish.

It's the sellers bike He can post it for sale at whatever price he wants. The market will determine if it sells quickly, slowly or not at all.

Do you feel smarter for insulting him? Does it make you feel better? I'm curious.
