SOLD 2001 BMW 1150GS, with sidecar for sale PRICE REDUCED by $2,000.00

Post by mr. cob » Sun Nov 26, 2017 4:19 pm

Howdy All,

I want to buy a RZR, this bike has to go, take advantage of my loss to be your gain.

I spent way to much money hacking my GS a few years back, have only ridden the rig perhaps a 1,000 miles since the work was done. When I decided to hack the rig I did it RIGHT, had "Burno" a man of high regard in the Beemer world rebuild the driveshaft, bought one of his special clutch disks and had him install the lower 3.36-1 gears in the final drive, the stock gear ratio is 2.81-1, even with the lower gears the bike will CRUISE at 80mph all day, day after day and easily reach 100mph if that is your thing. There is a windshield for the sidecar its under the sidecar cover.

Since these photos were taken I have installed custom shocks, a steering dampner and a new front tire that has less then a couple hundred miles on it, the rear tire and the sidecar tire have around a thousand miles on them. This bike has on it the HIGH $$$$$$$$ Tour-a-Tech 41 liter / 10.9 gallon fuel tank, if traveling long distance is your thing THIS rig is what you NEED. This would be the prefect fly and ride bike

I am thinning the herd, and will be offering for sale GOOD bikes that I simply don't ride that much anymore. This rig is in prime condition, needs NOTHING other gas in the tank and someone to ride it like it deserves to be ridden.

Price, REDUCED from $18,000.00 to $16,000.00 US dollars, LESS then what you would pay for a new Ural, but your getting a whole lot MORE.

Howdy Van,

Its hard to believe that after all these years and countless BMW clutch failures that they still produce the same product and then deny its a problem. Kind of like back in the R100 days when the transmissions failed because of machining the snap ring grooves to shallow, they would fix it by installing a new shaft machined properly but NEVER admitted they screwed up in the first place.

Hi Mr Cob,
Is that a modified ural side car frame or a custom frame? That is a beautiful rig.
Might be something I would like to do myself.
