Are you confusing my 825cc in my signature line with the ad posting? I do not believe the bike for sale has had such modifications, it still has the Electrojet fuel injection which would be difficult to make work with the larger displacement.

I believe that this was overlooked, which led to the confusion.

Yeah, if that is for real, it is a smokin deal, I mean a really smokin deal, the mileage gives it a bit of a fishy odor, but not impossible.

In the background of one of the sellers other pics is a Harley.

Harley dealers often have new and low mileage Urals that they took in trade.

With all the accessories the seller put on their bike, vibe is they had a fantasy in their head that didn't remotely match the reality of how a Ural behaves. Dude's posting from a fairly wealthy area. I'm betting either the rider or their SO got spooked thinking it would behave like a normal motorcycle.

I’ve emailed the seller twice through Craigslist with zero replies.

Bummer! I had a buddy in Denver with cash in hand ready to go see it yesterday.

When I've sold stuff on Craigslist, if people asked stupid questions, haggled or hinted they were wasting my time, I'd ignore them. Not saying you did this, just FYI. When I sold my Patrol I was blasted with tons of emails I just decided were best ignored.

I've had good success buying with a version of: "I'm interested in your (specific detailed reference to item), I've got cash in hand, please let me know when you'd be available for me to come look at it".

Thanks Eric.

I tried to sell a car on Craigslist 9 years ago and had a similar experience. Your draft email was basically the exact same wording I had!

I’ll keep trying, thanks for the encouragement.

Just wish I could get a contact number and at least chat to the seller!

I got an email back from him a couple of days ago. Said it is 100 miles on the odometer. Had his name and personal email on it. Googled him and looks like he is a pilot for a commercial airline living in Denver. Seems to be legit. If it is actually the right guy.
