FS 2011 Ural Gear up, with newly rebuilt engine

Post by Goodspeed T. B. » Sun Sep 13, 2020 4:53 pm

I’m looking to sell my 2011 Gear-up, I just had the engine rebuilt, clutch replaced and generally went over. I have all the documentation on the rebuild including all the new parts that were included. The bike also has the factory fairing windshield, upgraded seat, custom paint and exhaust, Raceway shifter kit, spare tire and cargo rack and all the stock accessories such as tool kit for 2 1/2 gallon fuel can and shovel.

The new engine is running strong, transmission is in good shape I’m having trouble getting the carburetors tuned and I’m just over this bike. Even if I get tuned in perfect I don’t trust this thing anymore and don’t want to spend another red cent on it including putting gas in. I just want it gone, don’t want to look at it. Anyone has a decent metric performance cruiser if they want to trade I’ll definitely consider that otherwise I’m looking to get around 9000.00 USD OBO

Hmm, novel marketing approach.

You might also list the kilometers on the rig, which owner you are if known (original, second, third, etc.).

GLWS. Sorry for your Ural troubles.

I really like his marketing approach! Refreshing! Were I in the market for such a beast, I'd be inclined to trust someone who is telling me how it really is with him and his machine.

GLWS! Hope your next motoring adventure is a better one.

Scroll through pictures and say "Does this guy have a DeLorean?"
Read signature "THIS GUY HAS A DELOREAN!"

I would say few things get more attention than a Ural, but I'm sure that does.

I guess I could just tell everyone “hey runs like new never had any problems with itjust want to get something different.” That just seems kind of dishonest and after it’s been rebuilt it should be good.

Yes good old 10398, Delorean owners all know each other by the last five of the Vin. I’ve owned it for like 14 years now don’t plan to sell it anytime soon

Oh and by the way I’m having the carburetors tuned and the stalling issue fixed before I actually sell it.

My favorite white lie was bikes for sale in Western Oregon that had in the descriptor “...never ridden in the rain.”
