I have a "new" set of "Unisex Double Deep Pocket thermal chap" that are XXL, black unused brand new in its plastic wrap pkg. That's 2xL for us foil heads . List for $159.99 new asking...$90.00 or offer, includes free shipping in US lower 48 Total price depends on where its shipped outside of that

They are Brand new and still in package.. To see what they look like, go TO:
https://www.denniskirk.com/:
search Patriot "thermal" chaps

Description:
PATRIOT
Unisex Double Deep Pocket Thermal Chap
SOFT MILLED COWHIDE
2 ULTRA DEEP POCKETS ON EACH THIGH, 1 ZIPPER AND 1 SNAP CLOSED FOR SECUREE STORAGE, 4 POCKETS IN TOTAL
SNAP OUT HIGH PERFORMANCE INSULATED THERMAL LINER WITH MESH UNDER-LINER FOR PERFECT FIT

Had a mix up on my order and I got two, before last year. Decided to keep 1 pair, and offer the other for sale.
I use mine when its gets down to zero(f) and below (-0F) not bad at all. Used in conjunction with my lap robe.

I wear size 40x32 Jeans- waist sometimes 38, sometimes 42 waist.. I'm 5'11'' 235+lbs to give an idea of fit.

They are ok, but a tads long on legs f/me, which is ok, bottom can get dirty and I don't quite snap the last snap. But excellent protection on your boot. In my case its my steel toed work shoes.

Ok, what kinda of price -- asking...$90.00 or offer, includes free shipping in US lower 48..Your Total price depends on where its shipped outside of that

How many cows does it take to produce the quad-XL chaps?! 🤔 Must be for a real "hoss" feller.

It would probably depend on the size of the cow, they do come in different sizes.
When I looked at the description, I also wondered what the four XL wearer looks like.

I take your jest well my friend, but atlas, the reason; Besides the size is actually 2X, and
"Why so big you ask", ha ha, well when your riding in sub 0 weather, You're gonna layer up on your clothing...before ya put your chaps on. I wore a pair just like em (not these chaps) on a two wheeler till ice was frosting up the roads. Then I used them on my Ural, when 3 wheels was needed to stay upright on slicked/iced up roads in winter. Image

It was the description on Dennis Kirk offering these chaps in a four XL leading to the speculation of what that wearer might look like and how much leather would go into a XXXXL garment.
They look nicely made and the price seems very attractive.
I’m not a chaps guy myself, they just look like they leave some really important parts exposed to the elements, why not just wear pants?
Once again, good luck with your sale.

I have both Tourmaster riding pants and leather chaps. If I'm out riding all day I'll don the pants, if its a cool quick jaunt to work I'll throw the chaps on for wind protection. Different tool for a different job. Good luck with the sale.

When it comes to electricity and potential moisture from being out in the elements, I'd rather leave my important parts exposed thank you.

Thanks for that.
I’ll definitely keep it in mind going forward , maybe I’ll try a pair.
While I don’t think the OP’s offering will fit me, I’m 6’3”, 195lbs, 34-36” inseam, they do look like a very good value . It would probably help the OP’s sale if the inseam length and maybe the waist dimensions were provided.

I don’t believe there was any mention of heated gear, but being an all weather, four season rider, I find it hard to believe that wet, frozen genitalia is preferable to dry and warm, heated gear or not.
Perhaps you’re just a lot more rugged than I

When it comes to sizing chaps, the thigh circumference, about 4-5 inches beneath the crotch, is the measurement that is the most important.

Then you adjust the waist and length after the thigh fits correctly.

If you do it any other way, the wearer will very likely have ill-fitting chaps to deal with.

That’s a good tip, but with my leg length I won’t buy any type of trousers without some approximation of the inseam. I’ve wound up with too many pants with a cuff halfway up my calf.

Chaps are not 'sized' the same as other items of clothing like pants or trousers. Of course I'm referring to 'brick-and-mortar' biker gear and leather shops....where you actually walk in and try things on.

Chaps are normally sold (new) with lots of extra material (usually leather of course) in the length.

There will typically be 4 or maybe 5 pairs of snaps at the ankle, and most men end up having the bottom 2 to 6 inches cut off, usually leaving 1 to 3 pairs of snaps.

If you have longer, skinnier legs, then yes, the length of a new pair of chaps (that fit your thighs) will (or should) still accommodate your inseam length.
