Ural Tour South Australia. May 2023

Our Ural family and friends are invited to join us on a South Australian Ural tour in May 2023.

The intention is to combine social and touring activities in the Strathalbyn / Adelaide Hills area. This is NOT a hard core adventure ride. Daily distances will mostly be no more than 150km on sealed roads and occasionally some good gravel, allowing plenty of time for browsing, touristing and socialising.
Planning is still a work in progress but may include:

Local Tourist attractions
Bakeries and coffee shops
A short night ride
Pubs and restaurants
Craft and Op shops
Picnic lunches
Pizza night
McLaren Vale winery
National Motor museum
Hahndorf German area
Melba’s Chocolates
The Murray mouth
Daily Happy Hour

Arrival. Friday 5th May
Departure. Saturday 13th May
………………………………………………..Or any days that suit you.

We will be based at Strathalbyn for the duration and doing day trips, so no packing and unpacking each day and no expectation of you riding every day.

To accomodate those with caravans/motor homes or tents, as well as cabin dwellers, some varied accomodation details are as follows:

Strathalbyn Caravan Park

4 Ashbourne Road, Strathalbyn SA 5255
Postal address:
PO Box 619 Strathalbyn SA 5255

There is a variety of accomodation in the area and of course you may choose where you wish to stay. We will have a daily meeting place and starting time. There will also be a “happy hour” location.
Participants are invited to suggest places they would like to visit and stuff they would like to do. We shall accomodate requests where possible and you are also welcome to lead a day or part thereof.
