It's a balancing act. Listen to the wacko talking heads (as in no MD and or has one not been in research but just done TV for years) from either side and you'll go nuts trying to figure it out. If you listen to the most paranoid of the medical professionals, who will talk, small gatherings OUTSIDE with proper common sense precautions can be done. It's inside, closely packed and loud that getcha per the numbers...air movement basically. The more the cleaner, the better, easy. We mostly gather in small groups at these things, mostly with folks we've been around already, with equivalent levels of paranoia, so that's ok! Worried? Wear a mask, the new fashion accessory! Now have the same old same old, group feeds, loud conversation in closed areas or gathered close and just asking for trouble. It's all up to the level of risk one is able to accept. So, saying all that, if one thinks they are at sick or at major risk, STAY HOME. For GROPE, we are modifying how we do some stuff, to minimize risk (have 5 retirees from the CDC in the club, most helpful) but plan on having a good time, weather and reality allowing. Hope to see you all at BURP, enjoyed it last year, and the thing that keeps me from going 'cause I volunteer at it, has been cancelled...so I get to go again this year! Good luck, stay well!

I am definitely ready for BURP...haven’t touched a mask yet....common sense seems to be a lost art!

We wish everyone well. Stay safe. We are going to pass on the rally this year and yes we are wearing masks when we go out. It seems like to the "common sense" thing to do on order to prevent passing a deadly infection on to our family and friends.

Last weekend was gorgeous too! I would have driven out there just to spend one night at Willville and then breakfast at Jane's diner in the morning before the 6 hour drive home. One night under those trees and stars would have been worth it. But I spent the weekend coaching an old shipmate thru rebuilding the front seat for his 80's speedboat. A weekend well spent for sure. But hard to compare to Willville!
