Just got a message from someone in Washington state who says they would like to attend, depending on the finish date of their new rig. Wow.

He may have the two Portlands mixed up. Happens all the time.

The poster made it clear that she was from Washington state. She is coming east this Fall to pick up a rig being built by Claude Stanley. She says she would like to actually come to Maine for a gathering next June or July. I'm all for it. Let's see what kind of turnout we get for this one. I'm thinking end of August or sometime in September. Does this work for an initial Gathering?

I'll take a stab to get the discussion going:
  • Meet in Naples
Backroads to Bethal take a break.
Backroads to Gorham and have lunch. :hungry:
Head south on 16 or 113 take a break.
People get split off and head home.

John - that sounds like a doable ride for us NH folks as well.

Would anyone else from the Seacoast or Lakes region in NH want to ride up?
Depending on the date of course, my dance card is pretty full these days....

OK. Thinking about Sunday, Aug 28 or Sunday, Sept 18. Any preferences? Struggling to think of a destination that can accommodate the possibility of 10 - 20 people/sidecars at once. Any suggestions for a destination within 50 miles of Portland?

Tony,
Happy to have the ride NH lake region if that'll pull more rigs from southern part of NE.

Poacher Bob said the Road Hawg should be able to handle a group.
Are you thinking of street riding only?

John,

Where is the Road Dawg? Would they be welcoming to a bunch of non HDs showing up? I was hoping we might get a few HD rigs. Are they open on Sundays?
Can you give me more info on the Ural in Freeport? I'll post it on ADVRider.

Mike,
Bob says they typically handle a bunch of NH ATV riders:

If we have an overflow there seems to be plenty of other places to eat if we have to break up into small groups.

Does it have to be on Sunday?

Not as far as I am concerned, but somebody mentioned they would prefer a Sunday. Whatever the group prefers. I would like to have as many sidecars as possible show up.
