Any FART rally for 2021?

Post by Rich Maund » Mon Jan 11, 2021 5:04 pm

Anything gonna happen this Spring for a FART Rally? Sure could use a good rally. Even a KISS bring your own everything rally is fine by me.

Just my zwei pfennig: It's too soon to know if 2021 will look at 2020 and say "Hold my beer."

Certainly I'm optimistic, and do hope, for example, that the superlative BGR put on by Lokiboy can occur this year.

Having had to argue for reservation refunds and pay several cancellation fees as the reality of last summer came to bear, though, I'm personally still gun shy about committing to a structured activity, such as a rally.

Watching and waiting.

Since I haven't ridden or maintained any of my Urals in nearly a year, I feel a rally is just what I need. Actually, to get them moved into the new garage and get one running is what I really need, but you know what I'm saying.

I'm just say'n if some of us happened to show up the same weekend at an open campground.........
Social distancing is fine since we usually have a large enough fire at night anyways!
I don't have my bike running either, but my sleeper van is still well maintained!

>Not riding or maintaining bikes

Lads, come on. I mean if one has health / family issues, understood. But COVID is the perfect excuse for both wrench and throttle time. That's been my go to for fun and relaxation since The Rona struck.

Three months (give or take) until spring! Break those wrenches out and give your rig a "beach body"! ;-)

I like how you think.

The information that you're missing, Louis, is that concurrent with the lockdowns, I've been having a workshop garage built. To facilitate that, I have five of my six motorcycles crammed into my house's attached garage, along with a cornucopia of items for the new workshop garage. There is barely any room to walk in there, let alone overhaul a Ural. The new garage has taken nearly all of my availabile attention and effort this past year. Fortunately, the work is nearing completion and I should be able to move in and spread out soon.

Still, running Ural or not, I would love a good rally right about now.

Or a bad rally. :D
