Trying for the CRAP Iron Butt award again are we????????? Hoping you have great riding weather. You are a welcome addition to our collection of zoo animals.

Bill
Yes. :boogie: :boogie: If the weather looks decent. Been doing maintenance the last few days: swapped the new spare for the pusher, pulled FD and greased splines, new rear brake pads, new sidecar brake pads (limited access there, quite struggle) new E3.32 plugs, new air filter (fun changing that too in close quarters), next- fluids. Switching to Mobile 1 V Twin synthetic at Tomcatfixer's suggestion. Then valves and a general bolt check. Had a new spare mounted at the only Ural dealer in Maine, Cove-Side Wheel and Ski, Newport- they have a machine for it, way easier than wrestling a K28 on the floor with tire irons. Weather permitting, I will leave 2 weeks from today. I plan on visiting the Wheels Through Time museum in Maggie Valley.

...way easier than wrestling a K28 on the floor with tire irons.
I wrestled on a new OEM Duro HF308 with good Motion Pro tire irons, etc. It's not a job I'd prefer to do again in the same manner. Give some thought to purchasing the linked tool kit. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but it's portable and it makes tire installation an order of magnitude easier.

Marketed with a focus on tube-type motocross tires, the BNP tool works well enough with our 18 and 19 inch street tires.

If it's not too late to register I'm considering riding in from Cincinnati if the weather is nice. Do the campsites have electric outlets within extension cord range?

rehab. There are few outlets around the pavillion which you could hook up to. Bring about a 20 ft extension cord and I will make sure you are within range of an outlet. Just let me know either way so I can hold a spot for you.

Will do Paint Shaker. Will you be tent camping?

Bill

Tent camping. Do we need to bring any items for pot luck/breakfast?

hey Paint Shaker, Main meal is Barbecue ribs and chicken along with chilli. Any side dishes compatible with that would be great. do need some bags of tortia chips and salsa. Could also use a veggie platter with dip for pre dinner snacking. See you at the rally.

Sounds good, we will plan to get chips, salsa and queso dip. If we will evaluate Fri afternoon/night is something else is needed.

Sounds good. Folks, we are looking at one of the biggest CRAP's yet. 37 rigs and counting including day trippers.

Found out today that my '19 will not be here in time for CRAP. I'll see if the Dnepr will act right!

It will be fine. If it makes you feel any better, looks like my '15 nor the '19 that may potentially replace it will make CRAP.
Guess it's the "low milage" Retro, again...or I could take 2 days to get there and ride the Sportsman...decisions, decisions...

Making "them" really fix the '15 before I'll seriously consider a '19. I am that pi$$ed off about it...One "them" after a year, guess who, has already failed, the current "them" is 1100 miles from my house and all on Ilya's dime. Sucks for all. Vent over, for now. You'll hear a lot more about it at CRAP, my filters will be turned off after a few shots, and I could use a heavy duty shifter for the Sportsman or whatever comes next so I simply must ride up there...

If you are keeping count, that is 2 Urals under warranty, both Retros owned by folks being way, way too nice, that had to be taken to dealers far away as our local dealer is not up to the task, again. What is wrong with this picture?

WEGUNTER, you still drink Cap't Morgan?
