Selling my '06 Triumph Tiger 955i SOLD!!!
*Let me know if this post isn't kosher on this board since the ride is British*
After 18 months of ownership and a minor spill, I'm looking to part ways with my '06 Triumph Tiger 955i.
It is a hell of a bike, but it's too much motorcycle for my liking.
As mentioned, I did lay it down on its right side just before xmas last year. I just put new Metzler Tourance tires on it and it drizzled before I picked it up from the shop. I hit an oil patch as I touched the throttle coming out of a school zone (So only going 20mph), and the rear end slid out from below me, sending me sliding down the road. The only damage was to; the right pannier (superficial, still works fine), a scuff on the right side of the fairing, scraped engine guards (they did what they were supposed to, no engine or frame damage occurred),and the handlebars got tweaked and were replaced with new handlebars (no fork damage). Also had the front and rear brakes rebuilt while in the shop for the handlebars because it was about time for that to happen anyway.
Anyhoo, here's a link to the craigslist ad, and feel free to contact me if this piques anyone's interest.

Re: Selling my '06 Triumph Tiger 955i
Just sold my 2005 Tiger last week to make room for the (new to me) 2011 Patrol. The Tiger was one heck of a bike but started getting a little heavy for me off road. I found a good caretaker for mine and hope you will too.

Re: Selling my '06 Triumph Tiger 955i
That triple is one hell of an engine, and once it’s going it is an incredibly comfy ride, but it is an intimidatingly tall and heavy bike. Also being used to the 40hp of the Ural for so long, the 100hp of the Tiger was …., eye-opening.
I’ll miss it, but eventually will get a smaller displacement ride, like a RE 650 Int or a CSC RX4.

Agreed. I'm sure I will miss the power on demand with the twist of the wrist, but I won't miss trying to pick up the beast. Smaller displacement ride with a lower center of gravity is in my future as well for two wheel off road riding.
