Digging that shade of Blue with the black trim. Very sharp. Glad you snagged one!

Yay! I have appointment to pick up my Maverick tomorrow morning! They said they will get it all prepped in the morning to be ready when I get there at 1030. Very cool!

Yes. AWD with FX4 package and 4k tow package.
My plan is to be home in time tomorrow to take my wife out for lunch in it. By the time I get home I should have a pretty good impression of it. Frankly, I'm expecting it to be just like my wifes 2020 Edge since the two share so much equipage.

Have 80 miles on it today now. Driving impression: Effortless smooth power from the drivetrain. Hits hiway speeds in just a few seconds. Steering is on the heavy side, but very precise. You move that wheel even a tiny bit and you're starting to turn. Tracks very straight as well. That said, I really like it. I drove us 40 miles to dinner and back tonight out to another city. State route and 60 mph zone. Of course I was the only one doing 60. 😉 Car got 34 mpg for that trip. Its rated at 30 hiway, so was very happy. Excellent dash lighting at night. The headlamps are perfect. This is very comfortable to cruise in. I see road trips and camping in its future!

A nice sized pickup like my 2019 Nissan Frontier four door. It fits in our garage just fine.

It's nice Ford decided to make a rationally sized PU. I'm dumfounded by the humongous monsters that are so popular nowadays.
Past afflictions include limey cars and motorbikes, an R60/2, R65ls, & a Citroen.
Now a couple of bicycles, a worn out '87 K75s,
and a rusty 2012 GU bought new
Dual K&N cones on homemade PVC intake, 40/137.5
Raceway needles, Modtop pipes, E starter delete
$29 VW Hydraulic steering dampener

Added this to it this afternoon. Came out very nice. Took an hour to install. Its a roll up with thick alloy tubes in the middle for support. Very easy to use and even reset the tension if needed.

Sunny and 50 out today. Took advantage of the weather to ceramic coat (Adams) the plastic bits and the bed cover.
Since the water based paint has no hardener anymore, I will wait a month before I apply the graphene ceramic coat to the paint itself. I let a buddy of mine who is used to a mid sized truck take it for a spin and he labeled it light, nimble, powerful and with a great ride and excellent visibility. I would agree.

Lousy weather yesterday from the winter storm. Moderate rain and hi winds. Had to run out for a few groceries. Can't live without coffee! Very impressed with how the smart AWD system and those fresh Pirellis handle wet roads. At one light I had to do a hard stop from 45 mph due to a really short yellow light. No drama. Just a clean straight stop in the pouring rain. Averaging 29 mpg for this first tank too.

Honestly speaking I´m a bit jealous. I knew the new Maverick would not be coming into the European markets and was waiting for the first grey imports that might show up somewhen. The basic price is real hot and it´s a lot of car for the money.
Meanwhile my old Volkswagen Sharan Mark I blew it´s engine up and I had to find a new car within two weeks.
I didn´t want another 15+ year old ride and after a lot of tyre kicking I found a Mercedes Citan with only 6000 km on the clock, nine months old for around half the new price at the Merc branch.
Well, it´s not a pick up truck, nor has it 200+ hp. But the missus and I are really satisfied with this mini van.

I wish getting a base maverick was easy! Hopefully things cool down in 22!
