Here's a place for the group to discuss their other brands of bikes, hobbies, and personal interests not related to Ural & Dnepr Sidecar rigs. But not politics...

my soil is way too hard for such work and kind of crop. so i got a Husquarna Diesel rototiller as all the gasoline ones dont have the needed grunt. a tilting trailer is still on the list… one new machine with each duty turn. We will get there earlier or later…

well Barry, your toy is not as bad as what you find in CR in gasoline. Does it get 14-15” deep too?

My diesel only tries to rip out my arms with each stone i hit. In certain manner its just as what people tell about their “Friesish (mediaval battle) horses”: “It tries to kill you only once a day.”

I get the idea the potato harvester of the video leaves quite some amount inside the soil and does not get deep enough.

And yes i agree, such a crawler gear reduction would be really needed for all Ural rigs that are supposed to be used in steep mountain range like where I live. I became a wimp after damageing so many final drives and now use to back out as soon i meet 25%. (seems to be the stress point where our final drives use to turn into scrap.)

ok time to get something done in the farm… one crop is still possible before summer will come in January with its drought.

Since my Howard was made in England where they believe in the importance of being polite......it has a slip clutch on the miller so large stones don't cause undue physical distress....that would be inconsiderate. :P

Being a side drive unit it's limited to 9" on the first pass, after that it will go deeper. Even at full depth on virgin ground it never struggles.

I've heard Urals referred to as 'agricultural vehicles' before, and there's the proof.
