Just put the car up for Winter

Post by ruffy » Mon Aug 23, 2021 9:23 pm

I know its August but I have only driven my c4 corvette a few hundred miles this year, its overdue for smog and, with the new Ural, I probably won't log any more seat time until next Spring. I bought it in 2004, sold it to my parents in 2006 and bought it back in 2019.

So here it sits. At least it has a new cover

The Ural has the same number of gears, is more practical, comfortable, seats more passengers and can get in and out of parking lots without scraping hard parts. It has a lot to be smug about.

And it’s easier to get on and off a Ural than it is it get in and out of a C4.

Nice that someone has actually used the word "practical" in regards to a Ural of any year or model.
Similar (at least to me) of the word "performance" in any thread here on SS :)

When I bought it back from my parents, I drove it 3000 miles from Delaware to California. The last time I owned it, I was a lot smaller. I don't remember my head hitting the ceiling in my youth. :|

This is why I switched from Jeeps to motorcycles.
Takes up less room and I don't need a lift for engines and gearboxes.
