Mostly wrestling with the tractor today. Got the deck back together. Just awaiting the new cable to yank the blade mechanism now. Had to remove the tank and then remove the entire handle from the console to get the cable off it! That was a 20 minute puzzle to figure out. But I will, at least, get the valve cover back on the old Kawi today!

No joy on the valve cover. I did wrestle the deck back under the tractor and rehang it into place. I can install the cable on it when it gets here. This way its just a half hour job to finish and then I have the tractor back. Tomorrow is Kawasaki Day! I am beat tonight from playing live manual Tetris with 500# blocks! I'm getting too old for this work!

Buttoned up the valve cover this evening. That was a bit of fussy work with 20 little 6 mm fasteners to deal with and cross torque. Needed three different tools to access them. I got spoiled with the simple access to stuff on Urals and Guzzi's all these years.
Tomorrow I reinstall the ignition and can test ride it before a good pressure w@$#ing and then dig into the carbs!

Got it back together today. No fuel leaks. Got it started but having trouble keeping it running as the idle jets seem to be gummed up. I'll try again tomorrow, but it looks like I'll be going straight into the carb rebuild from here as it stands now. Enrichner helps, but seems erratic. The bike did sit stored for many years and then got rode hard and put away wet for the past three years. Its up to me to get the neglect cleaned out!

Pressure w@$#ed it this morning. I can SEE the rear suspension now! It starts for a moment, but the idle jets probably clogged, it won't stay running. On to the carbs next!

Had to move on to other projects so as not to waste the gorgeous Fall weather we have. Pressure w@$#ed the front porch and furniture. Treated the newly clean wood deck and furniture. Painting the metal furniture tomorrow and in my spare time I rebuilt the tractor mower's deck and cleaned up the yard of fallen pine needles and leaves. Poor bike has to wait til the porch is back together and the driveway gets pressure w@$#ed.
