Ignition Switch Replacement

I’ve found a source for a super easy, very cheap ignition switch replacement for the Ural. Ural of NE sells what I believe to be the exact same switch, just much more expensive.

Follow the wiring connections posted in the “how to” video on Ural of NE’s post under “Description” of the part.

I just wired this up, and it works a treat.

Great find! I ordered a switch for my '99 project bike and two cafe racer style mirrors: one to replace the broken one on the Mobile Chernobyl's hack and one for the '99.
I appreciate you sharing this.

resurrecting an old thread. looks like the video is not online anymore, or at least i cant find it on youtube and its no longer linked in the ural NE sales page

does anyone have the wiring scheme for using this part? left a VM at uralNE but not certain they will get back to me.

Was just looking for the same thing, and of course the video link is no longer posted on that page. Will hunt down the wiring schematic and post a copy here.

I'm also chiming into this incredibly helpful thread to ask... how do I get the darn thing out in the first place? I've tried my usual methods of "pulling harder" and "pulling harder while turning" already.

Want to replace my switch and the dimecitycycles price caught my attention..

Maybe someone knows which cable goes with which... This is for a 2012 Ural T

We have the bike wiring coming as:

Image

Orange
Red
Yellow
Gray
Blue

Then the new ignition switch has the following setup:

Image

Brown/white
Brown
Red
Black (two connectors)

Here's the link that came with the printed instructions, but the image is black and white. Anyone has access to the dozuki system that could upload the picture here?
