The 15mm is for dual caliper the size we talk about. A small caliper on the sidecar could do with a 15mm as well, a 16mm (or 5/8") will be a tad too big

Yes this has a rotating bearing, or at least a bush, against which the spindle can be tightened, but leave the plate free to rotate. As a project this is looking complicated and expensive. A second caliper, second rotor, new master cylinder, all the pipes, fabrications, yaddy-yadda .. :(

Checked: the brake tank indicates DOT4 on 2013 Patrol.
