2017 and up Speedometer settings database.

Woe unto you that bought the first model year of a major remake, perhaps this section can help address any 2014 and later model Ural "imperfections". Here's a special section for folks with the latest rigs to discuss 2014 and later model-related topics such fuel injection, 3-wheel disc brakes, hydraulic steering dampers, spin-on oil filters and other anomalies that don't belong on true Russsian motorcycle ;-P We've gone from using big hammers and greasy wrenches to needing computers and Ouija boards in order to fix our rigs.
Forum rules
Please keep this section specific to issues pertaining to 2014 and later models such as fuel injection, sidecar and rear disc brakes and so forth. Ask general or non-2014 and later specific questions in the main Hammerin' & Wrenchin' section.

Some of the settings are now locked on the 2018 bikes to prevent you from inadvertently changing them. When you scroll through the screens on the 2018, you won't see exactly what you would with a 2017.

Not withstanding initial comment of this thread My Speedometer has stopped working....... immediately after adjusting the Clock and scrolling through... I hope 'tis only because I out of sequence the Mode / Rest buttons?

Bike is barely a week old with 60 ish km on the ODO.

Yep, my wife's cT just got it's second speedometer and it is one with the limited menu so now I can't adjust the tire diameter to get the speed correct. It's set for 18" rims but off by 4mph at 60. Before I could tweek that out, no longer.

First speedo just went whacky then died. Second speedo melted the face inside from the LEDs. 3rd one is a 2018 speedo. So far, it works, albeit not accurate.

Year plus on my 2018, it's spot on, and working fine. A handful of issues isn't cause to assume they're inherently flawed or likely to fail.

All under warranty of course.

New one is on the way. Hopefully soon. I have been using a GPS Puck to keep trac of my ODO.

I'll post pics vids etc when the package gets here

Out of curiosity, on your bad speedometer, did you try unhooking the battery ground cable for a minute or more to see if that reset the speedometer?

How To Set The Circumference Of A “Locked” Speedometer

Post by Camel Jockey » Sat Apr 13, 2019 3:31 pm

The electronic speedometer locks in the wheel circumference after the first 17 kilometers of riding. However it is possible to reset/adjust it as follows.

Note that all recorded readings will be erased during this process. Record your current Odometer, trip meters, and maintenance meter prior to this process so that you can set them again

Unlock the wheel circumference setting:
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Press and hold both buttons on the speedometer and reconnect the battery while still buttons.
3. While continuing to hold both buttons on the speedometer turn on the ignition switch.
4. The LCD will shows END which means the EEPROM has been reset to factory settings. The odometer will be reset to 0. The wheel circumference will be reset to the default of c1277.

Program the speedometer:
1. Turn the ignition on, and wait until the needle returns to 0 and diagnostics complete. Press both “RESET” and “MODE” buttons simultaneously to enter setting mode.
2. While in setting mode toggle to the third display setting using the “MODE” button.
3. Use the “RESET” button to increase the flashing digit from 0-9. The “mode” button is used to toggle to the next sequential digit from left to right. Program the maintenance trip meter for the next scheduled service interval (example 310 miles for first service interval in miles).
4. From the “TRIP” function, toggle past the two “RPM” settings, (“RPM” functions are not enabled) to circumference indicated by a “C” in the lower left corner of the digital display window.
5. Set the speed setting for wheel circumference to c450 for 19” wheel or c445 for 18” wheel.
6. From the circumference setting toggle to the speed pulse setting which is the next programmable mode displayed. This function will be indicated by a “P” on the left side of the digital display window.
7. Set the pulse setting to P-001 for all models regardless of wheel circumference.
8. Press MODE button for 2 seconds to finish and go to normal mode.
