2014 Ural Parts List

Woe unto you that bought the first model year of a major remake, perhaps this section can help address any 2014 and later model Ural "imperfections". Here's a special section for folks with the latest rigs to discuss 2014 and later model-related topics such fuel injection, 3-wheel disc brakes, hydraulic steering dampers, spin-on oil filters and other anomalies that don't belong on true Russsian motorcycle ;-P We've gone from using big hammers and greasy wrenches to needing computers and Ouija boards in order to fix our rigs.
Forum rules
Please keep this section specific to issues pertaining to 2014 and later models such as fuel injection, sidecar and rear disc brakes and so forth. Ask general or non-2014 and later specific questions in the main Hammerin' & Wrenchin' section.

Is there any generic clutch cable that will work for a 2014 gear up or do I need a Ural specific cable?

I'm currency stranded near Asheville, NC. Any suggestions as the the quickest place to get a cable?
Where are you stranded?
What is wrong with the cable? Just an end pulled off? An Asheville MC dealer might have these?

Might add one of these to my kit on the Ural.

That's odd. Amazon says they have 12 sets for $31.30 a set.
I may not be good, but I'm slow.

Saw this on another site regarding the Napa 1358 and 1365 listed as alternatives for the "stock"oil filter

Anyone know if our Urals will have the same problem?

Does anyone know of non OEM U-joints for the main drive and the sidecar?
I think they are no different than pre 2014 models but thought it would be good to add to this list.

The main driveshaft u-joint is only available through a Ural dealer or from Russia via Ebay.

Sidecar u-joints haven't changed. Here is a link: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/neap ... erm=1-0300

2014 ural injector identification numbers

Post by Trevorski » Sat May 07, 2016 2:52 pm

I have the fuel injectors out of my 2014 in connection with drilling the throttle bodies for vac ports for balancing, and installing a Dobeck EJK.

While I have the injectors out, I thought I'd try to take down some of the identifying numbers on them

They have the Bosch 'stylized H inside a circle' symbol, on the main composite body not far from the electrical connection

The main number next to the Bosch symbol is 0280158077 which in some searching I have done on the web is sometimes also shown as 0 280 158 077

There is some information that I am finding on the 'web that preliminarily suggests (though I have not dug around enough to confirm that it's verified/verifiable) that these are used in some GM engines, and, maybe, particularly the relatively recent 5.3L LS4 V8... and that they are within the Bosch EV14 family- apparently 'EV14 Compact' and take an electrical connector called "USCAR" but again, take that with a grain of salt unless and until you can confirm it yourself.

Other numeric details- on the stainless barrel nearer the tip:
80787
13712083032

My bike is a very early 2014 (took delivery beginning of April 2014) so I have no way to know if these same injectors have been used since, although I wouldn't think anything would change radically (although I have read that the '16s have a new throttle body/EFI assembly from ElectroJet, so those might represent a point of change in injector type/size)

Now you can search down uber-high-performance variants of these to squeeze a mighty 0.8 extra horsepower out of your EFI Ural (kidding of course).
Mostly I thought that this might help those who eventually may need new injectors find options at prices less than the north of $100 per injector that I have seen from some sources....

if technology cooperates I am going to attach a couple of excerpted pages from a Bosch document that appears to cover injectors similar to these

Works great in our Ducs as a non-OE part with 3bar pumps and 10,000mi maintenance intervals for the filter. Our pumps do have a prefilter also.
Has anyone tried this fuel filter for hose fit and physical placement fit on the bike? Looks a bit big in the pic...

Anyone have any other suggestions for OEM fuel filter replacement?
