Ural on Saginaw Bay
A beautiful February day around Sebewaing Michigan (43°43'32.17"N - 83°28'17.73"W) so I took Ural for a ride out onto Saginaw Bay. I had hoped to do some creative spirographics in the snow and all did go well until I strayed off of the main trail that had been created by all of the ice fishing traffic, I got Ural stuck in the deep snow up to the pipes. After a bit of a struggle, as there is no traction to be had with nothing but ice under all that snow, I managed to get moving, got back on the trail and return to shore without any outside help. I think I may be getting a little too old to be doing this sort of thing all by myself

Not at all.. you've read it here before... just need to get your rig "better prepared"...My name is Ural wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 11:53 pmI think I may be getting a little too old to be doing this sort of thing all by myself...
Get yourself a Maasdam rope puller... and a really, really, really, Really, Really REALLY long rope...

P.S. Looks like you had a very nice, enjoyable adventure... and seeing as how you got yer heart rate up getting "stuck" out in the middle of no-where... and seeing as how you managed to get yourself "unstuck" all by yer lonesome... that's one of those things that'll stick in your mind for a very long time...

The thumb area like many others recently endured a week and a half of single digit temperatures so I believe there is likely 12 or more inches of ice on the inner bay.
