Veterans Day rides

Post by Bendog02760 » Wed Nov 06, 2019 4:18 pm

The cool weather has settled into Massachusetts, 38 degrees this morning when I set out with my monkey for an 8 hour journey. I’ve known some good people who no longer walk amongst us but are never forgotten. I’ll ride one of my HD with a group of vets over the weekend paying our respects to those whom are gone. But since I’ve obtained my GU I also set out with my monkey on a more solitary and personal ride, just the two of us. How much companionship does a dog offer???? On a day when you walk a little slower and think a little more than you probably should it’s the love of a dog that can make a solemn day very enjoyable. We ate lunch together on a hay cart, hiked in the forest and stopped by monuments of two friends. It was a good day.

Semper Fi!
Semper Fi to you also!! Celebrating the birthday has always been a special day.

We ride almost every day together, sometimes just a few miles like today. I’d put my solo time at less than 200km as I approach 20,000.

Hope you are still getting your “Potty rides” in Cateye!!

That is the predecessor of the Apache, the Cobra or now Super Cobra which is still in service in the Marine Corps. The Army has moved entirely on to the Apache but the Marines deploy the newest version on the Cobra.
