Just came across this desert tan military-style tool roll for $79.99 + shipping...though some of you might be interested.

Why buy something else? What would Ivan do? Just make one.

Cost $2 for "oil-cloth" from thrift store, you know, that heavy stuff that is shiny and waterproof on one side. Measuring all the tools + the ones I've added to kit. An afternoon at sewing machine.

Close match of color...

YMMV

did not care for the tarp-sized Ural tool roll that came with my bike, got a $7 roll from HF and keep it in one of their toolbags that holds a socket set, bfh, irons, misc stuff. works for me.

Why, I do believe my eyes see "BMW" tools stuffed in that roll.

I have one of these, they're awesome. Got an Orange one when I had my KLR650, figured the bright color could be useful if I was ever stranded on the side of the road. Holds a ton of tools, by far the best tool roll available for the money. Most limit you to what they will hold with the small slots, the individual zipperd pouches are great.

A little Gorilla Tape will extend the life of your OEM tool roll for several years.

There are a few rolls of original BW-Panzerband resting in my cupboard. Good use.
Thanks for the idea.

Prove of quality. The edge I tore into my Unimog's tarp held several years after I left Army with the same patches.
