GU for sale in Washington (moved)

Post by vikingjohn1 » Fri Nov 20, 2020 2:34 pm

Came across this, not mine. Price seems good given it seems to be new/no miles, custom color and black engine. Whose going to liberate it from the war torn state of Washington?

They're a typical mega, multi line urban dealer. Final OTD with all fees will probably end up being average. They're convent for local sales, but probably won't offer anything worth traveling for.

"war torn state of Washington?" Have I missed something here?

Agreed! While they are convenient they are no bargain in prices. I think "was torn Washington" probably refers to the looting and rioting in Seattle that everyone saw on MSM this year. Just a hunch . . . .

While they do have a service department, I found it a mixed bag. But the nearest top Ural dealer is in Salem Oregon so.......

My issue with the service had to do with a damaged valve cover gasket (I know it happens) but I had to beat on them to get the replacement in.

The valve set was per Ural when I checked it, I don't know if they adjusted them or not.

But one head nut was loose enough for the torque wrench to move it. That clearly was not checked or was done with an out of spec torque wrench.

Nothing says you can't buy it and deal with any issues that are not big warranty yourself or take a trip down to Salem.

We almost completely avoid political commentary and political humor. We once had a section in which people could discuss such things, but it was decided to eliminate it altogether. Personally, I prefer the social commentary vacuum of the forum; it's a pleasant escape from "real life". Here, the only BullSchmidt opinions I have to listen to are owners incorrect oil choices.
