Hi,

I'm not new to the Russian bike world but I am new on this forum. My Russian bikes are an early M72 from about 1944 and a 2019cT. Besides those 2
I own a Honda CB500T from 1976 and a Moto Guzzi California from 2005. So all my bikes are 2 cilinders and are air cooled. Then there is my Deutz F2L612 N, a tractor build in 1956, it's also a 2 cilinder air cooled rig.

UK/Scotland has/had some really neat. working-restored steam engine trains. No.9 was very popular.

I just happened to remember this Russian train, built by Siemens Germany I think. Remarkable similarity after around 100 years?
It is called "Sapsan" or "peregrine falcon" and is pretty fast. It travels between Moscow and St. Petersburg Russia.

Well, the frame looks to be pre-48, so it could well be 1944. The oil bath air filter is a post-49 design. Frame number should be somewhere in the range of 7,000 to 14,000 with similar engine and gearbox numbers. Speedo should be the smaller diameter white face type. If it had the original engine, it would be quite valuable as none of the Russian Motorcycle Museums have a genuine GPW model.
