Welcome. That is not many klms for a 65 year old rig. Do you know much about its history? How long have you owned it? Please put a little bit about where you are located, for example at least country and region.

Just give us a photo that we can bow down before, or one that we can laugh at!

By the way, no Ural motorcycle existed before the 1960s.

Give him a break please Greg. After all, he did call it correctly as an IMZ in the title (assuming of course, that he does have an M72 :?: :| )

Compromise and call it a motorcycle built in the Ural Mountains in 1955? ;-}

That said, not sure I'd ever trust an odometer reading on a motorcycle. Here's the current mileage on mine ... <G>

There are also some enthusiasts who get bent out of shape over the distinction between Willys, and Jeep since "Jeep" wasn't trademarked, and used on vehicles until 1950.

If it's a "gen-u-whine" 1955 IMZ motorcycle it will have a bronze FRONT camshaft bearing.

Oh, by the way Windmill, no IMZ motorcycle was built before 1945 as the factory was still officially MMZ.
