Gents and Ladies:

06 Ural, picked it up off an old army buddy. While it doesn't start, stop or steer like my Bonneville, it's a heck of a lot more fun for the kids and dogs. Thanks for accepting me in the group.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks gents. First issue was the starter switch was not connecting with the starter. Kick starting was a bit of pain with temperatures close to freezing. A swap out of the starter relay and all is good. A seven dollar part but removing the seat to change it out was cruel and unusual punishment.

Welcome to the madness. It's not all cruel, it is usual and after awhile, doesn't feel like punishment. :D

Congratulations on your first post and welcome to the forum.

Please update your signature line with the year and model of your Ural, along with your general location. We have members all around the globe and this will give them context about what you write.

Also, please be aware that the search feature can be a helpful tool, so please take a moment to familiarize yourself with it. There's a LOT of good-to-know information on thos forum.

Finally, we love to ogle bike pics, so don't be shy about posting them. I'm told they're worth a thousand or so words, when trying to articulate an issue you're having with your bike. The caveat is that they must be around 100 megabytes in size. If your smartphone or computer doesn't have the capability to shrink your pics, then you can use a multitude of free photo resizing websites to do the job.
