That’s great. Congrats
I just bought a new bike too (not a Ural) and am supposed to pick it up on Saturday which according to the weather reports is supposed to be the coldest day of the year. Not really concerned because it’s been so warm so far. I’ll still get it and in the “can’t sleep mode”.

When do you get yours?

Good deal, you should be stoked. Yea mine cost about 17,000 with the options I got, but it was love at first sight and its more than met my hopes. The last thing I wanted was to regret the buy for what I went through and put up with for another 5 months at work to get.

Not often something meets your hopes and expectations or even exceeds them (exceeds them in the Ural's case). Different situation a different year Ural would have done fine, for me and my needs I would have regretted it.
Fear No Gravel
Formerly Owned: ( various rides on others)
Honda 90
2 x CB750K (one a true Japan Model flown to Hawaii by a P3 Orion Sub Patrol Aircraft!)
1 x CB700 SC ala Shaft Drive Nighthawk S (RC20 is the actual in house production Model)
1 x R80GS (ok to start with, learned to love it for what it was)
1 x CB450K

Current:
1 x 2019 cT Terracotta

What I Did (I quit June 2 , 2019)
Mechanic/Technician/Engineer: Electro Mechanical Systems

2019 CRF450L, a dream Unicorn bike for me. The "X" version of this bike just won the Dakar Saudi Arabia Rally knocking out KTM for the first time in 18 years. And first time an American has ever won this race. But I've always wanted one for a long time since they were introduced at the end of 2018. Just too expensive then. Now they are not so I'm stoked.
Having some special suspension tuning done as part of my dealer prep as well as some specific non-factory mapping. I'll add a Power Commander later on to play around with the engine management. She's aluminum framed and just 289lbs. but I'll drop the entire exhaust system for a Yosh slip-on and delete the California canister system that Honda puts on all their bikes whether you are in CA. or not. That'll drop close to another 10lb's and perfect for me.
It's be race weight but I don't race. I do pick-up my bike in the sand & mud quite a bit though so the ability to make such a powerful vehicle so light appeals to me, Ha.

I've owned well over 50 bikes in my life but this is only the 2nd with EFI so pretty progressive for a simpleton carb guy like me.

This will be the foundation for a great build:

Yep, I got gully w@$#ed in Canada and then just across the AK border. Nice stable and putted on through them just fine.

One trip on the R80GS (Skagway bound) I got into it that was so bad I had not a clue where I was other than still on the road. I finally broke out as the pass ended and it was, whooo, man, I made a lot more miles than I realized. I had the gear so was fine, just no idea within 40 miles and did not dare take my eye off the road (like total disorientation and vertigo)

Good luck with the new ride, pretty safe bet that UralNE will set it up correctly. Nice piece of mind having a warranty and a competent dealer.
