Do NOT lock your gas cap!!! Take it slow and you will enjoy even the shortest trips.

Yeah, the previous owner said locking the gas cap would cause issues to include not being able to get the gas cap off, so I do not plan on doing that. Thanks for the advice though.

Laugh, I had an awful time with mine, I got it in the end and asked the Sales guy to undo it, which he did. grrrr (granted I wanted to get on the road and out of town so was not into screwing around any more)

Same thing, don't lock it and I have not.

On my First Ural (2004 bought in 2016) I couldn't get the gas cap to seat when I took it off. I had to put screws into the side to keep it from ratcheting. I did not even try to use the lock on it.
