16g I think.
I’ll measure it when I get back from the Jersey Devil Hunt.

The metal that I used was salvaged from a commercial electrical fixture/box, it is 14 Gauge.
For those with different resources than I have available, most hardware stores carry this product;

Aside from needing to be cut to length, It would probably only need some holes elongated with a file.
One could also just use 1/8" band iron available from the same source, and drill the appropriate holes.
Happy trails,
Jaybird

Just make sure the metal you are using is strong enough.
Some of us with umm "more ample frames" (and I ain't talking bike) running the enduro seat have dented the fender where the rubber pucks rest.
Not sure of the clearances under there, but you don't want metal to fender contact.
Mine is rusting away fast enough as it is!

Hey JAYBIRD, did you notice all that rust ? Hope you get to stopping it - before it easts to much. Wire brush & SPRAY RUST REFORMER ETC will be adequate first aid.

Thanks INSUB, I hadn't really noticed the rust, but I've heard that "patina" greatly enhances the value of a motorcycle, so I'm probably not going to ruin it with a wire brush and rust reformer
