The good news is I corrected the lean back issue and started building the assembly fixture. The bad news is I'm in the hospital with a suspected bleeding ulcer, so there will be a delay before I can work on the mounts again.
Well that's not good, get well soon.

I picked up a fairing last month and will have the bike back in a few weeks, definitely interested in the mount. I'm just tagging in on this post so I can hunt you down later once you have them in production.

When I do get them in production I'll make a grey market thread and notify everyone who have expressed interest.

As much as I want this new thing, get better (that means rest  ) first. And I look forward to them when you are healed up.

There seems to be a Ural curse, if one makes accessories for them on the side, they're stricken with health and personal issues. I know it's happened to me, and several others.

Hope you get well soon. :)

It turns out it was my Crohns, so steroids and watch my diet for now. When I’ve had time to heal they want me to have a colonoscopy to see what is going on.

Good news, I was able to make it to C.R.A.P. and install a test QD mount on Tomcatfixers rig. Tomcatfixer has a larger than stock plexiglass shield on his fairing so his rig will be a good test bed for the mount.

Since I have a M70, nothing fits but I did get a good look at Dan's windshield mount. If I had a "normal" Ural, I would have my name on the list.
It is strong and rugged without being too heavy. Also the mount has more attachment points spaced further apart than stock so the windshield is stable.
Dan does good work.
I may not be good, but I'm slow.
