These are what I believe I installed in mine when I had air leak issues.

I have several on deck for when I need to replace tires. These babies are goin in. The michelin uhd was all we ran for enduros and harescrambles. Put them in ice tires too just in case a screw point made it through the liner.
Never had one pop or pinch and they last for several tires. Install with a little baby powder and take small bites with your tire irons. Recommended.

Pretty sure I put these in my R100/7 as well. I know I bought HD tubes and they were name brand versus some no-name vendor brand. I was impressed with how thick they were. Somebody on the BMW list commented that they are only for off-road applications, but did not provide details. They might generate a little more heat because they have a little more inertia. But I suspect that tube are as thin today as they are because over the years they found they could get away with thinner walls and save material/costs in making them.

Seeing as how the thread has revived, anyone use the flat proof liners? I always put those in my fat tire bikes as the rubber tends to be thinner to keep sprung weight down.

They're plenty wide to give extra puncture protection on the Ural width tires.
