Glad you are liking the 2 into 1. One of the main benefits to me is the reduced chance on my grandkids and me getting burned on the port muffler.
Originally when I did the 2 into 1 I left the cats in place. Then later I removed the cats and used longer pipes and now I am back with the cats. The crossover is in about the same place.

I get about 45 MPG here in Florida with the stop and go traffic and up to 55 MPG in the mountains with almost no stop and go traffic and lower speeds. There are only about 8 thousand people in our county in the mountains and about 750 thousand here in our county in Florida. I don't think the MPG improved with the 2 into 1 and with or without the cats. The cats have a little restrictions but not much.

I put the cats back onto the 2-1 exhaust system I cobbled together. Found a loose clamp while taking off pipes to cut them, so that was good to find. I'm real happy with how it sounds and runs now. It does seem to give the engine a bit more pep...and just tightening every thing always helps. Very happy with how ya'lls idea came together.

Did it yesterday am, moved daughter 600 miles RT to her new job/life in Oneonta NY, working for a hospital, using the engineering degree. Very cool. Home at 1900, and then out for a 50 mile test ride. Before the 5-6" of snow are to hit, an down to 12f. Shite.

^^^^^ Congrats on your daughter getting a good job in Oneonta NY.
12f. WOW. I saw that a few times when I was working for IBM on a temporary assignment in Endicott NY. Beautiful country but I was sure glad to get back to Florida.

Hmm...Having knocked the left pontoon off three times on our 2021 Gear Up in one day on the WABDR(bad ruts... That's my story). :boogie: THIS, Good Sir, just may be the inspiration I was looking for! Thank You.

I just installed the 2 into 1 Kalaber Creations left side muffler system on my 2020. On my I nitial test ride I experienced a lot of deceleration tion popping but since then just one small pop when letting off of throttle. The cats are still on, so the only thing that changed is the piping and the muffler. I'm assuming there is nothing I need to do to the EFI system as the computer seems to be adjusting to the reduced back pressure. Any suggestions on anything to watch for such as running lean? Fairly significant weight reduction but I installed it for water crossings here in Missouri where many are deep enough to submerge the original pontoons. Now the pipes are all tucked in next to the bike frame and not in danger of being torn off, plus the exhaust is significantly higher at the rear. Jury still out on whether I'll need to remove the exhaust for tire change, but it only one clamp and one bolt on the fender so no different than my previous R NineT BMW. 1/3 the cost of the GPR right side exhaust.......

That exhaust does appear to be more likely to get someone burned even more than the stock left muffler.

Nah its got a heat shield!

Burn issues would be high for me as well as getting the exhaust protected, it catches a lot of crap down low like that, cT may not help at all, I clean it up once in a while but the first rain and crud builds right back up. Worse than my Honda 750 with the 4 pipes.

Doing the key switch procedure used to clear the MIL light will also reboot the EFI system so it can recalibrate itself with a clean slate. The learned parameters can also be cleared with the dealer's tool.

Barry, I have the dealers tool but not sure what happens if I clear all the learned parameters. Is it just a clearing of the parameters or will I need to go in and do a bunch of ser-up funstions to get every thing reset. It seems like the popping on decel has stopped so guessing the EFI system is already adjusting.

Using the dealer's tool to clear the learned parameters does just that, nothing else needs to be done. The system will automatically resume the learning process as normal, but from scratch without what may now be extraneous parameters.

I've done it a couple of times, and it does seem to help the system adapt to changes more efficiently.

No matter which bike you own, a good 2-into-1 solution to the right side is key for off-roading, especially in rocks.
On a recent excursion to the Soggy Bottom dualsport ride, a shiney new 2021 rig kept losing a left pontoon on the hard trails.
The stock pontoons are just in such a crappy position, that anytime the side car is elevated or the bike falls in a rut the left can gets whacked.
By moving to a 2-into-1 you eliminate the possibility of snagging the left can altogether and you can usually angle the right can up and out to improve clearance on that side.

If you plan on doing any serious off-roading, remove your stock pontoons BEFORE they get dinged and sell them to recoup a 2-into1 conversion. ;)

For all of Ural's ad campaigning about the off-road capability, they ought to improve the exhaust position and make the 2WD tank lever stock.

Fortunately for Ural, they're halfway through Rich's Off-Roading Improvements List.
