American Tourister?
Maybe they figured the gorilla wasn’t the acid test...
Seriously though... it looks to be something similar to a Pelican case...

Can't pinpoint it, but almost certainly a Soviet block case for a night vision device, or sight.
I noticed he's wearing a Gorka 3 which is my favorite riding jacket. I have both summer, and winter versions. Added buttons so I can put a USGI field jacket liner in it.

I liked the box as it fits without being overly military which wouldn't fit as well on a white Patrol. Thanks for the info.

Don't know where you found the photo, but the case appears to have the same design as the one shown in the lower right corner
(of the photo). That logo appears to contain some text that I can't quite make out. Ya might try going back to the original and looking to see if you can decipher that text which might help you find its origin.
And then ya just ask them what it is......see? easy peasie.

It looks a lot like a Zero aluminum hard case, a company I've dealt with over the years. They sell a particular line of deep drawn one piece shell cases w/gasket seal that is tough as mails. Not cheap, I've shipped hundreds of $40k each high-power laser optics across country inside them them, not a single failure.

If you watch the intro video, there is a bike at 2:46-ish which might be the bike in the original photo. Similar large box (with some extra writing) on the nose of the side car, similar smaller box on the sidecar wheel arch (or perhaps on the boot).cptnapalm wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 9:53 amhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXGYtn ... zcRcWTgWQw

At about 30secs in that same video, is that really a blue plastic shower cap on the head of the guy riding through the water?
Re: Any idea what the nose mounted pannier is?
Fullscreening that, I think it was a bandana, but it was very shower cap like until the last few frames of that shot.
Looking at a different video, both boxes clearly have top handles, so they're mounted carrying cases like aluminium luggage or some such.

Dig into YouTube long enough and there will be a close up presentation.
At 0:13, there's a tube between the sidecar wheel and body. At 0:51, there's the 2-into-1 which goes under the sidecar. The former tube is the exhaust. I don't believe I've seen that before. Later, the bike is tilted over, to show it closely.
Of course, by now this is an entirely different topic.

I don't think that is gold.cptnapalm wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 2:17 pmhttps://youtu.be/M6cxTVF9z_4
Something I haven't seen before: a gold tank strap.
Some Russian bikes had a white rubber tank strap.
I think that's what it is, albeit yellowed from age.

The writing is the VK address for Real Oppozit https://vk.com/rooc47 You could post the picture and ask what the pannier is.Sledgegreen wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 1:44 pmIf you watch the intro video, there is a bike at 2:46-ish which might be the bike in the original photo.
