Greg's pic is what I envisioned, only not as wide. Splitting the tub and adding a spacer is "relatively" simple. Trunk would need a new or modified lid. Chassis would need to be widened, too.
Watsonian makes/made a double wide hack.
If you find a Dnepr tub, it won't have the trunk lid (access to inside of trunk is by unlatching and moving seat back). I'd think that the additional rigidity of not having a trunk lid might be beneficial as you widen things.

I found the Chinese sidecar- but he won’t sell any into the US do to Chinese government restrictions at this time.

Doubt that blue rig would actually move much under its' own steam with that kind of weight !
