I hear ye.
Heat has come on a couple times at my house the last few weeks but looking at temps in the 70's this week.
I'll miss riding around town in my denim jacket for the inevitable like the guy in the picture you posted. Brrrr.

I have the studded tire setup so will ride some like I did last winter.

Have to be selective as many business salt their parking though the Muni uses very little (well none, werid setup where AK Highways owns the main streets much to our regret_).

Although my current abode near Knoxville, I'm sure, will be less brutal and snowy than my domicile near Denver the last couple years, I am looking forward to some/many cold winter rides.

I bought my 2017 GU from a guy in Clinton TN. I'm looking forward to some snowy parking lots to have fun in here in NC, but...I think I'll be waiting a long time.

We usually don't get squat...which is kinda good, folks around here can't drive worth a crap in snow around here anyway...

That's a pretty universal sentiment, at least in areas where snow isn't a constant. My survival instincts shift into an even higher gear on the slippery stuff.

In the last 50 years, I've managed about 40 or 41 New Year's Eve rides. Last year, turning 69, I announced that I was done with that. Then I bought a Ural in pieces. Every time I walk past the lift table, I think about where I'll be riding to this year. ;) Stay tuned.

Winter, what's that? We have two seasons here, Summer and not Summer. Can't ride now, due to back pain; getting old not for sissy's, As some as back/hip back in order back on the Ural; dreams still still in Ural mode.

We hit 29 deg this morning - Stage 2 Termination Dust. Time to hunker down.

Always interesting to see what kind of a winter we get.
