Membership fee, any amount, say a buck.
My other Motorcycle forums are $12 a year subscription that I gladly pay. Where else can you have this much for for a $1 a month!

Edit: Heck, once I found the Pass The Hat post a few months back (I've only been here a year) and knew how to get money to the owners I gladly donated.

I get a satisfaction and a little joy when deleting spammers and spam. My pleasure.

If you have better ideas, I'm all ears. :lurker:
Perhaps some kind of question(s) that must be answered to create your account. We can discuss it at the staff meeting.
We already have a Q&A anti-spam procedure in place. Logout and try registering as a new user to see it.

We have the Q&A procedure in place, has been for years. It stops the "bots" but if someone wants to register manually and spam it doesn't stop them. I have to change the questions every so often as the spammers get smart and have a database. :x

I try to keep the site "free" but member-supported like your local public television station, except I'm not taxpayer-subsidized and I won't bug you with breaks in the middle of the show to beg for money and say "If you pledge $50, we'll send you this nifty tote bag". :deal:

I should hope not, when it only retails for $14.99.

I don't mind the breaks as long as you're not trying to sell me a civil war chess set one piece a month.
