What a tool. Good luck with the class action, I doubt he’d get enough riders to join in.

I thought he was interested in getting his rig fixed but the drama and attention appear to be his real goal. He says he has abandoned the Ural now and purchased a Honda Africa Twin or at least that is in process.

I wouldn't count on it. There are many people who are looking for a quick dollar, no work required.

Not the smartest way to negotiate with Ural, diplomacy goes a long way. Being a new rider (3000 km, first year) I know I'm not driving a 2017 Lexus, it's a crude machine. I do sympathize, if you are spending top dollar and you think your getting top quality you're probably in for a surprise . I've enjoyed the Ural so far, I like its crude design and ease to work on but with tons of charm. I treat it like I did the Afghan National Army (ANA), I look at it suspiciously but it pleasantly surprises me most of the time. I'm not asking it to take me to Sturgis for a 10 day 1500 mile blast, that's what my HD is for.

Current Rides:
2012 GU (I bought in May 2017) All my GU rides are with my dog, Liberty
HD Road King
HD Wide Glide
Owned about 15 other HD over years
Boston Mass.

I lurked on here for a year or two before I bought a Ural, I knew what I was buying. To me tinkering is fun, and builds character. That being said the Ural family are some of the best people I have ever met.

I have owned Urals for 11 years but I read everything I could find before I bought. I knew it was a crapshoot before I jumped in. Both of my rigs have had the engine rebuilt by Sergey, to my advantage I think. I firmly believe his engines are better than the factory engines.
I know these bikes are expensive but they are both incredibly tough and incredibly fragile. But compared to a $44,000 Indian rig, it ain't all bad.
Besides, they are a bare canvas. They are just waiting for us to make our own mark on them.
I may not be good, but I'm slow.
