My training ended early today so I took an impromptu ride through the back roads in the Osceola National Forest. I ended up at the Olustee Battlefield site. Got to ride out on the field and all. Kinda cool. I grew up participating in this event every year (still do most years as work permits).

Anyways, here’s a few pics.

...... I still have no clue how to make them appear oriented correctly...... kinda drives me nuts.

* Drove to my optometrist at the mall and found out I was two weeks early for my annual eye exam.
* Drove around a huge outdoor mall and wowed the locals.
* Drove my wife to an A.A. meeting.
* Drove to Walmart and picked up a 50 pound bag of dog food.

I'm using 'drove' instead of 'rode' because piloting a Ural seems more like driving than riding... plus, if I write I 'rode my wife to an A.A. meeting' people might get weird ideas. :)

To help the few neighborhood strays survive the cold winters up here, we put a hide/feed box on our front porch. Our [indoor only] fellow is fed a premium kibble, whereas the porch cats have to make do with the price-point stuff.

The cost difference between food that has real meat ingredients, and that which is nothing more than grain and a few vitamins, is pretty significant. A 13 lb. bag of the latter can be had at Dollar General for ~$9.00. Purchasing the same quantity of our boy's preferred brand would be multiples of that number. Some days, I think he eats better than we do. :D

Went to a motorcycle club meeting this morning, then spent the rest of the day running errands/shopping until 5:30pm. Hauled home a portable compressor and a front stand for my Kawasaki Versys. Another trip to the grocery store and pet store too. Didn't see very many other bikes out. Cold, wet, rainy here today.

I did manage to drop my trunk key in the parking lot of the grocery store. Didn't realize it until I got to the pet store. Went back to the grocery store and thankfully found the key. It had been run over and the black plastic part was broken off but it still worked. Need to get a few spare keys made up just in case!

We are officially moved into our new place so I rode into town to scope out the local breakfast place. Got some UDF along with a great breakfast. Also, phone battery crapped out, so no pics.

Gave a friend a ride in the sidecar up to Allsport Powersports Inc in Decatur, AL so he could pick up his new bike, a 2019 Royal Enfield Himalayan. Same friend that I took there in Nov 2018 so he could pick up his then-first-ever-bike, a Yamaha MT-07. He has since bought a Kawasaki Z900RS, a Suzuki SV650s and now the Himalayan. Sold the MT-07 and SV a few months ago.

I've been looking at the Interceptor 650 myself. Nice bike and runs like a top.

He wants one of those too! The dealer has 2 Ravishing Red Interceptors and 1 Ice Queen Continental on the floor. I would like to have an Interceptor, they are really nice.

The pull tab for the sidecar seat bottom is a good place to tie an extra set of keys.
