Had several people snap photo/video of the bikes on bike, both posed and candid. Lots of jinks and thumbs up from other cyclists. Heading to Triquest next week (already) for my 500km breakin service. Still figuring out the route to stay off the interstates.

I rode to the Green Mountain National Forest office, and purchased a Lifetime Senior Pass to the National Parks. Only $10. The price goes to $80 on the 28th. You can find out where to buy them in your area, by using Google. Available to those 62 and over. It can be purchased online for an extra $10 processing fee.

After work yesterday my wife and I headed over and up to the town of Croton-On-The-Hudson to grab some dinner at The Tavern at Croton Landing.
Excellent local place kinda famous for their wings and burgers and about 28 miles from my house along scenic roads. Two of my friends on their Yamaha speed rockets were across the river at the weekly Bear Mountain Cruise-In. They came across and joined/surprised us.
On the ride home once we hit the highway we watched as their tail-lights disappeared into the night. Taking a different route home we did about 60+ fun filled miles. Great ride.

Made the sad observation as I'm sure others have that it's getting dark much earlier, seemingly all of a sudden.

Happy and hungry:

BTW: putting together a ride with some buddies to West Point next Wednesday. We are interested in doing the formal tour of the Military Academy. After, the plan is to grab some Ribs in Montgomery, head south and enjoy a cigar & beverage up on Parker Memorial Drive. Final destination will be that Cruise-In at Bear Mountain.
This is a Hooky-Ride (from work) but if anyone wants to join let me know. Can just meet at Bear Mountain later on if ya can't get out of work.
I think there are only 1 or 2 Cruise-In's left for the Summer. Unfortunately I have not been to even one this entire Summer.
I'll post something in the rides and rallies area.
I won't be riding the Ural for this ride.

Thanks. The bike rack is a Kuat Sherpa 2. Weighs only 32 lbs and carries 2 bikes with tires anywhere from 700x23 road tires to 650bx3" tires. Mounted it using the Kalaber Creations winch/hitch mount. The other day I delivered a pair of bikes to some customers just out of town.

Well not actually TODAY, turns out there's no WiFi on Mont Blanc.

Anyway we had lots of fun riding from the bottom of the mountain pass (Col de Petit Saint Bernard) to the top. Very windy switchback road that gave my upper body a good workout!

Wobbly video test...

Going up the pub (the pretty route)...

Apart from the vibration roads are very rough. Well that's my excuse.

Humm

I put my mount on the Grab handle with two pieces of very firm sponge and the videos are much clearer, almost no vibration.

That said my passenger has not quite got the idea of starting and stopping the video so I have nothing worth uploading yet - will fix that.
