No offence intended. :D

But it does remind me of a cartoon years ago, entitled Tory map of the UK mainland (Maggie Thatcher / John Major era)

While the south and London were shown in detail, the north of England and Scotland were just a sort of bulge just above Watford.

:D
A lot of the USA sees the 'What?' also as 'What?'.

While my bike is stored for the foreseeable future, others get to take a bike out for some fast food...

Still like Charlie Chaplin's 1940 talkie "The Great Dictator"; had to abandon it as the inspiration for the theme of my Ural's paint scheme. People can't seem to tell satire from support. Too much public education.

Maybe he just needed to buy some of that early 60's Humble Esso and get that tiger in his tank. :-)

I wouldn't have guessed this to be a problem, ... U.K. residences, on the other hand, are already configured for this arrangement. Are there other details at play here?

Oh, and by the by:

Yep. :D

I wasn't paying enough attention re the fast charger story, but IIRC, no, apparently just having 240 VAC is no help. The problem is kilowatts, the fast chargers being talked about are to recharge a car to 80% in 6 minutes (I think, or something like). So our wires aren't thick enough, specifically where there are several of these machines in one location. I think that was it. They would need a special supply as if for an industrial installation, factory or whatever, but I'm only guessing.

I think it's amperage that's needed.

In the US I believe an additional 100 amp service panel is recommended for charging at home.

Yep and the chap who visited it and took the picture agrees but reckons it's worth it, high quality and big portions.
