The perils of well-nigh identical packaging.
Confusing 271 for 242, or vice versa, could end badly for the user.

Except the product is clearly labeled. The packaging suggests the proper use. The product colors are different. Loctite publishes the complete specifications of what each product will do.

So the real humor lies in the sad fact that people will misuse these products despite all the obvious distinguishing features. A sad comment on the devolution of the species.

"Blue" Loctite used to come in a blue packaging. Idiot-proof. Running the store, grab the blue one (or red one, depending upon the task), and roll. Now, y'gotta stand there for a sec, do some light reading, and make sure you just grabbed the product you want. Perhaps it speaks to my intellectual capacity, but I prefer idiot-proof.

With my eyes I can't read the packaging without glasses. WTF can't blue be blue and red be red? IMHO the nitwit twit moron that put blue in a red bottle and red in a blue bottle (like in my shop right now) ought to have his right nut locked in a vice with a big red button that says blue and a big blue button that says red and be told "press blue to loosen and red to snap the vice closed".

Isn't any such thing as idiot proof. Someone is always producing "improved" idiots to keep up with product development.
