A Change at Russian Iron

A Change at Russian Iron

In 2007 Glenn Hamilton, the founder of Russian Iron, asked me to take over the administration of the web site. Over 4 years later, it is time to pass it on.

I would like to introduce Mr. John Gay of Stone Mountain, Georgia. John has agreed to take over the web site and to keep it alive and well. John is an avid Ural owner and rider and in my opinion will do a good job. No doubt there will be changes but changes can be good. Crawford Sales and I will continue to do what we do best, sell and support Ural Motorcycles.

Please support Russian Iron and visit the web site often.

Great that you are taking the helm! I wish you would keep the same screen name though. I have tried using the site but it does not work well when you try to go back to the previous page.

Starting this morning, I found the Russian Iron logo back on the discussion board. Now all we need is the return of Svetty Pistonova!

Terry - I hate to split hairs, but Glenn Hamilton SOLD the RIMC site to you (for a price higher than I offered him).

I wish John Gay (digitalebola) the best with it. I'm kinda envious as I really wanted that opportunity in 2007.

But without that event, there would be no Soviet Steeds, so maybe every cloud has a silver lining.

If he needs any help, I'll be happy to pitch in.

If you need any help with it, let me know. I'll do my best to help you.

RIMC use a different forum software than we do here. but a lot of the administration tasks should be the same. Like tearing apart a Ural motor, it's a bit intimidating and overwhelming at first until you get the hang of it.

Howdy All,

One of the things that pi$$ed me off about Russian Iron, is the trouble "I" have getting the darn site to work. I am a self confessed Internet idiot but every time I try to use the RI site I have to do a lot of scrolling just to read the darn thing, it always dumps me half way down a page and I have to scroll back up to where I want to read, one of the major reasons I stopped going there.
