Rant. Gotta lose a toe.

Post by Wallybob » Tue Sep 27, 2011 3:54 pm

Crapola. I am a diabetic, and got a toe injury this summer that was healing, but very slowly. Last week it got a staff infection that got to the bone, nasty and quick. Needless to say, tomorrow "meenie" goes the way of the dodo bird. (meenie is the toe next to the big toe...)
Not amused.

But it does beat the alternatives.

Beer is beckoning me tonight.....

that toe is useless anyway..Ask the doc if you can take it home. run a string thru it, and dry it in the sun.. Then you can mount it to your keychain, like a lucky rabbits foot. :P :P

I do intend to ask if I can put it in a jar of formaldahyde to put on my desk at school, or put in a pouch around my neck for luck. I can't leave it out, as the cats would see it as a pounce toy, and after a while it would smell a bit.

Sorry for the toe loss :( but what Scott said was funny. If it were mine I'd save the bones for laughs. Get rabbit fur to cover them then you can really make up some whopper stories.

Staff sucks and thank goodness I'm not a diabetic or I would have lost my right leg. Snapped the right Achilles tendon in 2008 and came out of the hospital with staff after surgery. More surgery (debridement) and then 4 months of Clyndamicen to finally knock it out. The wound has almost filled and it's now been 3 years.

Howdy Mike,

Sorry to hear ab out this, good luck and a wishes for a fast recovery are coming your way.

That said, I have to admit that putting the toe on a chain and wearing it around your neck strikes me as the proper thing to do.
