#20 Blue flashbulbs were new technology that allowed shooting outdoor COLOR film indoors with flash.
#11 45 RPM records were new compact disc technology that replaced the 78 rpm disks we listened to.
#5 Soda pop machines were square boxes with a hinged lid on top and all bottles standing upright in chilled water. A nickel (or a dime) allowed you to slide a bottle up to a gate and pull it out.

I got 20 out of 20. We never had a party line but I remember them from the Andy Griffith show on black and white TV.

4 party line at our house. Parents never gave it up. Other 3 parties gave it up one at a time until we were the only ones left. Single party line at 4 party price. VAlley 8-9206.

20 out of 20! Our first telephone wasn't a party line, but I remember the number, "205" and you had to tell the operator.

13 for me, but some things like BlackJack were already retro, and things like 45s and table juke boxes are still around.

20 for me, we had a hand crank wall mounted phone. 13 on a party line.
Don't remember but think we were 1 long and 2 short rings. Grandmother in town was EMpire 72891
Regarding the soda pop bottles, we got 2 cents each for return. Saturday matinee at theater was 10 cents.
Collect 8 bottles, good for a cowboy movie and a 5 cent candy bar.

I got eight, so I'm just on this side of "Getting there." A few of them required a deep dive into my childhood, like candy cigarettes and metal lunchboxes. A few others, like P.F. Flyers, didn't even register.

18 out of 20. I don’t recall newsreels before the movies, but I rarely went as a kid. Never saw Howdy Doody on the tube. Boy, do I remember the stink of the Butch w@*, though.
